FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Welcome to Telecommunications Office

Atty. LORENZO G. FORMOSO III
Assistant Secretary, TELOF

For more than half a century now, the Telecommunications Office has provided basic telecommunications services throughout the Philippines, reaching even missionary areas where private companies fear to tread.

With the advent of the Information Age, the government had combined the power of modern communications and advances in information technology. TELOF has played a very vital role in this convergence. Rich and real-time information are made available to people around the world through the Internet. People can easily access all the information they need by just typing at search engines and clicking the mouse. The Internet has bridged the gap between people, information and distance, bridging the barrier between the rich and the unprivileged.

TELOF’s initiative to have a website gives us the opportunity to make Filipinos as well as other people around the world aware of the existence of a government telecommunications operator here in the Philippines. Not only can we make our Mandates known but also the facilities, services, programs and projects that we maintain, provide, achieve and accomplish. To date, TELOF is now embarking on Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) as one of its projects. Adhering to the President’s directive to maximize all IT infrastructures, which will result to at least 30% of the fiscal savings.

We hope that this portal will give informative and useful information to all users and as we commit to further improve its contents and context in days to come.

Welcome to the Telecommunications Office internet portal!
